Because you are important to us, we want to share some recent camp news!
Our Camp Ockanickon Director, Matt Foran, will be leaving our organization to take on the next step in his career. Today is Matt’s last day, as he will be moving on to work with youth from lower-income households.
Matt has been a key member of our leadership team for 5 years, and was instrumental in developing the Ockanickon Character Universe (the “OCU”), our remarkable character-development program. We recognize that many of you have formed wonderful relationships with Matt through the years. While we are sad to see Matt go, we wish him the best of luck moving forward. We are also excited to announce that a familiar face will be starting in early December as the next Camp Ockanickon Director – join us in giving a big welcome to Christine Giannobile! For those of you who do not know Christine, she served as the Camp Ockanickon Assistant Director from 2018 – 2020, and helped create the camp experience we know and love today. Christine grew up as a long-time Camp Matollionequay camper, and has also worked in our School’s Out, Outdoor Center, and Lake Stockwell Day Camp departments. Christine looks forward to continuing to develop and implement the OCU, along with making memories with campers, families, and alumni this summer and for years to come.
