YMCA of the Pines is the premier camp facility in the heart of the Pines of South Jersey

“My kids have the best summers of their lives here! They never stop talking about how great camp is, and I don't even have to drag them out of bed in the morning to go! Love the values that are instilled in them.”

Camp Ockanickon

Overnight Camp for Boys, ages 7-16

At Camp Ockanickon, our focus is on the individual growth and development of skills and talents distinctive to boys. Living in rustic cabins with boys their own age, Ocky campers learn cooperation, sharing, fair play and how to forge new, lasting friendships. They spend their days swimming, kayaking, canoeing, enjoying a sport with new friends, improving their aim on the archery range or learning a new appreciation of nature in our Earth Education program. Counselors, trained to be mentors, help teach new skills that build confidence, self-esteem and self-reliance. Character-building while connecting with nature; this is the hallmark of a Camp Ockanickon experience.

We are excited to announce that Camp Ockanickon is offering additional 1-week programs!
We will still be able to run the BOLD & GOLD curriculum

Specialty Camps

Fostering Development, Independence, and Joy!

At YMCA of the Pines, we are a culture of caring, based on empathy, respect and empowerment. We welcome everyone, including campers with intellectual and developmental disabilities, visual impairments, trying personal circumstances, including children infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. Our Specialty Camp programs foster development, independence, and joy in all of the children who attend. Children learn about, and come to appreciate, the similarities and differences in one another – and friendships flourish. Both our counselors and volunteers are well-trained and have vast experience working with children of differing abilities, ensuring that all are safe and secure while they experience the thrills of camp.
