Lake Stockwell's Transportation Service

We provide convenient and reliable bussing services to ensure your camper arrives safely and on time daily. Our transportation system is designed to offer a seamless experience for both campers and families, with safety as our highest priority.

In partnership with Hillman’s Bus Services in West Berlin, NJ, we ensure high-quality transportation for all our campers. Each bus route is supervised by two dedicated staff members who serve as the primary communication link between camp and your family. Additionally, several of our camp staff also ride the bus as their daily transportation to and from camp.

Morning Drop-Off Procedures:

Each morning you will be greeted by the bus supervisor. Our busses will wait an additional 5 minutes for the campers to arrive at the stop. The bus supervisor will call you before they leave the stop to make sure that your camper will not be missed. The bus supervisor may also arrange an additional stop pick-up for you.

When arriving to camp, the busses will drop the campers off at the dining hall parking lot. The bus supervisor, additional staff, and campers will walk to the landsports field to begin the day with their group. The bus supervisor has group assignments for each camper and will assist in walking the campers to their group.

Afternoon Drop-Off Procedures:

At 4:00 pm, our bus campers will begin gathering at the dining hall to leave camp for the day. The bus supervisor and additional staff will walk to the bus that is parked in the dining hall parking lot.

When the bus arrives at the drop-off location, you will be greeted by the bus supervisor and asked for a camper pickup card. The card tells us that you are authorized to pick-up. If, for any reason, someone is picking up and does not have the card, we will request a photo ID from the person, and compare their name to the names listed on the camper’s registration form. If the person is on the form, we will issue them a card and they are cleared to pick up. If they are not on the form, we will call you before sending your camper home with that person.

Additional Transportation Information:

  • Camper pick-up cards are mailed home with the welcome packet. You will receive 2 pick-up cards for each session your camper is attending. This will create a speedy drop-off and pick-up process throughout the summer. Pick-up cards will always be available throughout the summer, pending a photo ID check.
  • Before the upcoming camp session, you will receive an email about the week’s transportation procedures, including the bus supervisor’s name and cell phone number.
