At YMCA of the Pines, the safety of those we serve – our campers, our visitors, our staff members – is of the upmost importance.

We do our best to maintain our facilities, we run careful background checks on our employees and, recently, we implemented a check-in procedure for any adult visiting our property. Here’s how it works:

YMCA of the Pines is working with Raptor, the nation’s leading visitor management program, to instantly scan visitors. (Over 10,000 schools and facilities nationwide already rely on Raptor’s web-based technology to keep youth safe.) Before utilizing the grounds or entering our camp property for the first time, all adults (18 years of age and older) are required to check in at our Welcome Center, where they will be asked to present a photo ID. The information will be scanned by a member of our Welcome Center administrative staff, and, once verified, the visitor will be provided the required personal and vehicle identification. This is a one-time process only. After that, visitors will be required to wear the identification tag whenever on camp property, so that all staff and children will know that they have been properly screened and approved by the Raptor system.

Thank you in advance for working with our team to make camp a safe place for all children!
