By Lynn Passarella, Director of Lake Stockwell Day Camp

Family – a simple word that has so much meaning behind it.

When thinking about Lake Stockwell Day Camp, I think about the bond that is created each summer. Whether it is camper to camper, camper to staff member or staff member to staff member, we all value the relationships we have built.

Camp is truly my home-away-from-home. It’s a place where I don’t have to “try” and fit in because I am already accepted for who I am. It’s a place where I can laugh and be silly. It’s a place where I am challenged to be a better version of myself. If I didn’t have such a wonderful opportunity to be part of this family, I am not sure where I would be.

This holiday season, I am thankful for Lake Stockwell Day Camp. Through camp friendships, I have met my husband, Bradley. We recently celebrated our daughter Zoe’s first birthday. The impact that camp already imprinted on her is indescribable. I cannot wait for her to become a camper. I am also thankful for the relationship the Stockwell Assistant Director, Cate, and I have. We work hard every day together to make camp a better place. I couldn’t have ask for a better side-kick.

It is my hope that your family feels part of the Lake Stockwell Day Camp family. From my family to yours, have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving.
