Hello all…

We had an wonderful weekend here at Camp. We held one of my favorite event weekends… Roll Up Your Sleeves… where alumni, campers & parents and interested citizens from all walks of life come out to lend a much needed hand to help us tackle all sorts of projects around Camp in order to spruce up the place. Jobs ranged from fixing up flower beds to replacing parts of our boardwalks that have deteriorated to cleaning windows and clearing brush.

The weather was a bit chilly but as you can imagine, working hard sure builds up a sweat… and everyone worked hard all in the spirit of making Camp look the best it can be.

A heartfelt Thank You goes out to one and all from all of us here at Camp for every ounce of effort you put in this weekend and the time you sacrificed to be here with us this weekend!!

We also had our second Open House of the season on Sunday which, by my account was busy, busy, busy… and a sure sign of another record setting summer here in the Pine Barrens at our humble slice of Heaven.

Thanks to all the volunteers that helped out with setting up, giving tours, directing traffic, etc… Every came with their Camp Spirit on their sleeves, ready to inform everyone who came out just how important Camp is in the life of a child. Some of the folks even double dipped and were here through Roll Up Your Sleeves and stayed to help at Open House. A big DOUBLE Thank You to those who were so generous with their time and positive energy!!

As the weather warms up and the vegetation and wild life comes out of their winter hibernation, I expect to see more and more folks out here enjoying the beauty of these surroundings that I am blessed to bear witness to every day.

Don’t forget, to be out here on the grounds we ask that you sign up for a Camp Membership and keep your Membership tags with you while you are here so we can identify you. You can visit the Main Office right off of Stokes Road (at the Ockanickon entrance) and the staff will get you signed up right away!

Be good…
