Hello all!

Over the summer here at Camp we ran some brand new Cooking Programs. At the Girl’s Camp we had a solid 2 week program that all for the girls attended and at the Boy’s Camp we offered 4 separate one week “Progressive Skill” sessions.

Both programs were well recieved by the kids and counselors alike.

I’m going to share a few of the recipes here and there throughout the coming months.

That being said… here is a quick “No Rise Pizza Crust” that we did at the Boy’s Camp. It’s not your traditional brick oven, pizzeria crust but at home, in a pinch, it sure is a delicious and easy alternative.

“No Rise Pizza Crust”

Ingredients:

  • 1 (1/4 ounce) package dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water in a medium bowl and add rest of ingredients.
  2. Beat vigorously 20 strokes and let rest 10 minutes.
  3. Press dough onto greased 11″x17″ baking sheet and add topping ingredients of your choice… sauce, cheese, mushrooms, peppers… whatever you like!!
  4. Bake at 425° for 15 to 20 minutes or until done.
