Ever take a walk/run/bike ride around Camp and wonder what some of these sings mean?
Each year, Camp is happy to host a handful of races to help benefit our Annual Campaign to raise funds to help local children and families attend various Camp programs. When I started working at Camp, we hosted two races; The Oddman Duathalon & The 5K Gobbler run, one was organized by a local community member and one by Camp. In the past three years, we have expanded our community races to; The Oddman Duathalong, The ABF 10K Mud Run (Twice a year!), The South New Jersey Law Enforcement Challenge, The Little Rock Blind Awareness 5K Run & Fun Walk, The Ockanickon 5K, The Life is Good Tri/Duathalon/5K/Kids Run, The Gobbler 5K and we are planning a 10 Mile Mountain Bike Challenge with two Marines from Ft. Dix this fall.
What is amazing about these events is the support we have received from the local community. From spreading the info about the events to financially supporting the event, the greater Medford Community has stepped up time and time again to help raise money to send more children to Camp each summer.
