Hello readers! Matolly’s Seneca VC, Cristina Lepore, here! Session 3 is flying by, but we are having so much fun and are enjoying every second of it!

Today at Arts & Crafts, Hana & Meg, our beloved creative engineers, led a really inspiring project. Hana discovered a really neat children’s book at Barnes & Noble called, “It’s Okay to be Different” by Todd Parr. Each page of the book started with the words ‘it’s okay to…’ and incorporated a lot of silly examples like most children’s books do. Hana and Meg invited our campers to create their own “It’s Okay to…” book. Each of us painted a picture on a piece of paper with our very own “It’s Okay to…” thought. Some of our pages included it’s okay to have braces, it’s okay to have short hair, it’s okay to wear a different color every day of the week, and it’s okay to dream big. It was heart warming to wander around and see what our campers came up with. Our new Seneca motto is “It’s okay!”

Thanks to Meg and Hana for their creativity and effort, and thanks to all our Matolly girls for being such wonderful and inspiring young women.
