It’s already Session 2! I’m Cristina Lepore, the Seneca Village Chief. The first week of Session 2 was great! It was pretty hot, but we were able to stay hydrated and keep our spirits up! Swimming and boating ranked at the top of our favorite activities! We have a great staff over here at Matolly, and we owe them all a big thank you for giving their all to our campers every single day.

Yesterday we enjoyed our first Special Events day of 2010, Blueberry Day! It was a busy day! We had a scavenger hunt in the morning where each of the five teams had to complete numerous challenges around camp to obtain a piece of the treasure map. Right before lunch, the team captains put the pieces of the map together to figure out where the treasure was. Everyone had a great time! Lunch was delicious! We played music on our speaker system, so all the girls danced on the benches and sang at the top of their lungs. Rest hour was well deserved and much needed!

Our evening activity was a co-ed dance on the Matolly Tennis Courts! The theme was “Halloween” and there were some pretty neat costumes being sported all night long. The boys came down from Ocky, and we danced the night away. It was a great day, and we are all looking forward to the rest of Session 2!
