Program Instructor

Up to $20/hour, depending on experience.

At YMCA of the Pines, we use our 100+ years of experience to facilitate life-changing and mission-driven programs. We are looking for highly motivated team members to join us in delivering intentionally designed day and overnight programs to ensure all our participants are taught skills to be “real world ready”. We focus on building healthier communities, stronger relationships, and supporting all people to realize their potential.

As an instructor, you are a team-player, maintain a positive attitude, and are willing to help out where needed. You care about all people and love facilitating their growth. You get excited about providing quality experiences for all. Along with:

  • Owning both your strengths and your weaknesses, and striving to be better.
  • Enjoy learning new things, learning quickly, and having a balance of confidence, humility and asking for help or direction when needed.
  • Being a relationship-builder and a keen observer of group dynamics, and enjoy facilitating communication and cooperation among a team.
  • Thinking on your feet and finding creative solutions to challenges. You are patient, level-headed, and reliable. When things change, you can be flexible to address the situation at hand.

Candidates with experience leading and helping others in a professional setting, preferably at a camp and/or adventure program are preferred, but we are willing to teach skills to outgoing and energetic applicants.

Competitive compensation up to $20/hour offered, depending on experience. Housing is available on camp and meals are provided when groups are in. Opportunities for certifications and professional development will be provided throughout the season.

Please submit a cover letter, resume, and names of three references with contact information to: grace@ycamp.org
