YMCA of the Pines offers the opportunity for the local community to share nearly 800 acres of open space, hiking/biking/running trails, and community programs. Bring the family and enjoy all that camp has to offer.

Ask about Free Membership for Active Duty Military Families and 08055 First Responders!

We only charge $325 for a family of up to six household members annually, and additional family members are $40 each. An individual membership is just $199 a year. Each membership includes:

  • 12-month access to YMCA of the Pines.
  • Open access to camp trails/roads/paths for walking, biking, jogging and dog walking (dogs need to be leashed while on property). For the security of our summer camp participants, there are property restrictions between Memorial Day and Labor Day; please see map for more details.
  • Year-round access to Pomona Boat Launch.
  • With a valid NJ Fishing License, catch and release fishing at both Lake Stockwell and Matolly Waters Lake.
  • The summer camp non-member fee is waived for children of families with a family membership to YMCA of the Pines.

Cherokee Beach will be open on select dates for members and guests during the 2024 summer!

Cherokee Beach will be open for members of YMCA of the Pines at no additional cost, and guest passes may be purchased for members to bring family (outside of folks on the membership) and friends.

Cherokee Beach will be open the following Sundays during the 2024 summer:

  1. June 30
  2. July 7
  3. July 21
  4. August 4

The waterfront will open at 11 AM on each of the dates noted, and close at 6 PM. YMCA of the Pines lifeguards will be on duty during these hours, and folks are also welcome to enjoy the outdoor grills and picnic area, as well as the beach and waterfront. To make use of the facilities during these dates, please check-in at the Cherokee Beach entrance kiosk with your membership tags and/or a guest pass. Guest passes may be purchased from the Welcome Center prior to heading down to Cherokee Beach. You may purchase guest passes in advance, but all adults obtaining a guest pass must be present at the time of purchase and submit their license or photo identification for scan through our Raptor software (sex offender database).
