This morning the Matolly Rangerettes left camp to begin the first leg of a seven day journey that will take them through the Appalachian Trail and down the Delaware River. This is our first trip to leave this summer and the girls could not be more excited. Sam and Meg, their instructors, have done a wonderful job preparing the girls for a week of hiking and canoeing. In just a few short days the girls learned how to use their cooking stoves, pitch their tents, and upright a loaded canoe. In addition, the girls had to pack all of their own food and supplies while still having time to meet up with the Ocky Rangers for a ride on the new slide last night.

Good luck and happy trails to Sam, Meg, and the rest of the Matolly Rangerettes!
