By |2010-07-23T10:27:23-04:00July 23rd, 2010|

Hello! My name is Jena Rae Carabasi and I am the Algonquin Village Chief here at Matolly. Recently, Ross Williamson (the Algonquin Village Chief at Ockanickon) and I have been bouncing ideas off of one another for our co-eds during a two week session. Last night, we had the privelage of running one of these co-ed activities: a County Fair. The County Fair included classic fairground activities such as Bobbing for Apples, Win a Fish, Egg Toss, Test Your Strength, Finger Painting, Coin Toss, Line Dancing, Fortune Telling, Knock Over Bottles, and Big Wheel of Fun. “It’s Okay…”

By |2010-07-22T19:53:15-04:00July 22nd, 2010|

Hello readers! Matolly's Seneca VC, Cristina Lepore, here! Session 3 is flying by, but we are having so much fun and are enjoying every second of it! Today at Arts & Crafts, Hana & Meg, our beloved creative engineers, led a really inspiring project. Hana discovered a really neat children's book at Barnes & Noble called, "It's Okay to be Different" by Todd Parr. Each page of the book started with the words 'it's okay to...' and incorporated a lot of silly examples like most children's books do. Hana and Meg invited our campers to create their own "It's Okay [...]

Hello friends!

This morning our Oneida boys enjoyed some time split between Creative Arts and Archery. The guys came together to begin construction on a cardboard rollercoaster. It’s really cool to see a group come together to create an idea and run with it.

Hello dear readers… As stated in the title of this post, I’ll pose this question… Can you guess how many meals per day my wonderful Kitchen Staff and I serve? Did I hear someone say 100? Did I hear someone else shout 472 meals per day?? Of course I didn’t hear anyone shout anything… this is a blog. […]
