After dinner at Camp, there are still many things going on!!! Last night our youngest village, the Cherokees, played a new game that’s growing in popularity around camp: Gaga. Gaga is a game that involves a ball and an octagon court. The object of the game is to prevent the ball from hitting your legs while only moving the ball with your hands. The last person left wins. The Games go by fast, so no one is sitting out for more than a few minutes.
In Seneca village, the campers were split into small teams and each team was given one egg. Their goal was to prevent the egg from cracking after a drop of about ten feet. Their only tools were tape, drinking straws, and a few other miscellaneous items!  This is not only a fun activity but a good way for the Senecas to develop team work and problem solving skills!

The Algonquins from both Ocky and Matolly had a “County Fair.” There were lemonade snow cones, the big wheel of fun, and tons of carnival games.
The Oneidas from both Ocky and Matolly played “Castles and Catapults” out on the Ocky Landsports field. The goal of the game is to capture the other teams’ flag. This game insures great fun with dramatic Star Wars music playing in the background and card board boxes used as fortifications.

Our oldest village, the Mohawks, had their overnight across the lake. They slept in tents and cooked hotdogs and hamburgers over the fire. After dinner, they sang camp songs and then enjoyed some warm smores over a cozy campfire. Before they went to sleep, they had one of the best Stick Dedications ever witnessed at Camp. As you can see, even as the sun goes down over Lake Stockwell, there are still a lot of things going on to build a memorable experience for our Campers.

Stay cool,
