What a winter we are having here folks!!

If you are living in the Continental United States you are probably experiencing some sort of effects from winter weather. I heard a report that there is snow to some degree or another in all of the contiguous States and Alaska.

Sorry Hawaii.

Camp is holding its own under all this weather. The Maintenance Staff, Conference Staff and Staff-residents have carved out, dug out, cleared out and helped out under these cold, snowy, icy conditions.

In case you didn’t know… when schools are closed for holidays and other various reasons we offer the children enrolled in our after school child care program, “Schools Out”, the opportunity to spend the day at Camp. This is a wonderful service that allow parents who have to work on, for example, President’s Day, to have an affordable child care option for the whole day!!

On Monday, to take advantage of all the snow we have lying around the kids who came out to Camp had a wonderful day of sledding, playing in the snow, enjoying hot chocolate by the fireplace in our Dining Hall and even building the impressive snowman you see in the picture above!!
