Hello all…
Another beautiful weekend here at Camp that saw the union of Rob and Nicole as husband and wife.
The festivities began with a BBQ dinner after the wedding rehearsal on Chapel Island this past Friday night. About 40 or so guests stayed the night and awoke to a brunch on Saturday that was followed by some fun Camp programs and lots and lots of preparations.
The couple was wed in the 4 o’clock hour on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon and guests arrived back at the Ocky Dining Hall around 5pm for cocktail hour followed by dinner and dancing on into the night and capped off with a bonfire and S’Mores!!
Another brunch on Sunday morning followed by some more Camp programs and the happy couple were on their way down our sandy roads to begin the new chapter in their lives together.
We here at Camp take special pride in events like these. We get to showcase Camp in a different light and utilize the skills and talents of our staff in unique and marvelous ways.
It is a group effort to make these weekend “destination” weddings a success and the team here has wowed our guests time and time again… this weekend included.
Personally I can’t be more thankful for the hard work, long hours and dedication of the staff here who helped pull this all together. Chef Kimmie, Dave, Gary, Rich, James, Matt, Jim, Pat and Greg… you all knocked it out of the park this weekend… and I know Rob and Nicole were thrilled and their family and friends were raving!!
Camp is a magical and dynamic place and there are things that we do that continue to “Wow” me every day.
To Rob and Nicole… again… Congratulations on your nuptials… and welcome to the Camp family. We wish you all the best in your new journey together. Please come out to visit again and often as this place is now part of your “story” together… and we’re honored to be a part of it.
