Did you know that a child’s chance to stay active decreases after school ends for summer? Even though summer has the potential of one to become active and explore something new, summer also has the potential for one to sit at home and be a couch potato. This is where we come in! This weekend MaryAnn and I will be traveling to the Ambler and Abington YMCAs in Pennsylvania to be part of their 2012 Healthy Kids Day. We will be joining them in an effort to encourage kids and parents to not be that couch potato this summer and go out and be active.  Of course, Camp Ockanickon is a great way to spend your summer staying active; whether you are swimming in the lake, playing games on the land sports field or canoeing through the Amazon. If you are in the area this weekend, come look for us!
