We received a really cool phone call yesterday.  Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge had 2 Red-Tailed Hawks that they had rehabilitated and wanted to release into the wild and they wanted to do it here at Camp.  Both hawks had been involved with collisions and Cedar Run had nursed them back to health.  They brought them out to Headquarters and released them in front of 7 or 8 excited Camp Staff members.  Both hawks flew up into trees where they remained for the rest of the afternoon.  One even tried to catch a squirrel within moments of being released.  That was a good sign that she will be ok!  It was a really fun event for us and we now have 2 hawks that will hopefully make their home on Camp!
