Welcome from the Girl’s Director
Camp Matollionequay For Girls
Hello Matolly Parents!
My name is Gabrielle Ostroski and I am the Director of Camp Matollionequay for Girls. Originally from Australia, my journey here at camp began in 2000. What was supposed to be a one-time unique experience, turned out be a 12 year (and counting) calling.
I believe in Camp and what it does for children. Camp is many things to many people. Camp is a magical place where you can just be yourself. It is a place to come out of your shell and blossom. It is a place where you can feel good about who you are and develop your self-esteem. It is a place where you build lifelong friendships. Camp is a safe place to try new things and step outside of your comfort zone. It is a place for young girls to be unburdened from the pressures of everyday life. Camp is a place where you can walk away at the end of the day feeling a sense of EMPOWERMENT and an “I CAN DO ANYTHING” attitude.
With the four core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, guiding our mission and our staff, I know we can make a real difference. Our well-trained and dedicated staff gives our campers the opportunity to gain a sense of independence and build self-confidence within the safety of the camp community that can later be carried out into the real world. We laugh and cry… we sing and chant… we have fun and challenge each other to become better people.
Every day I experience the impact first hand that Camp Matolly has on our campers and staff. I invite you to become a part of this wonderful place and experience that magical feeling. We put a lot of hard work into getting Camp Matolly ready for you and let me say, I am so excited to welcome you and your family into our camp family this summer!
