Welcome from the Boy’s Director
Camp Ockanickon For Boys
Welcome Ocky Camper!
My name is Matt, but here at camp you can call me Usz.
I’m lucky enough to be the camp director and I have to say, it’s a pretty neat thing to be.
For over 100 years, Camp Ockanickon has been a special place for boys to make new friends, try new things and experience the wonder of camp. Whether it is your first, fifth, or tenth summer, your counselors will be here to help answer questions, guide you, encourage you, but also to act silly and make you laugh. Campers usually tend to make us laugh, too.
Many Ocky staff members are former campers and others are from different countries like Brazil, Sweden and England.
Activities that you can look forward to include archery, soccer, basketball, arts and crafts, fishing, challenge course, boating, swimming, skits, campfires, gaga and much more. (If you don’t know what gaga is, you will quickly learn!)
You’ll be able to choose activities to try during Quest, activities to improve upon during Progressive Skill, and activities to do together during Village Challenge.
Besides those, the Village Cup will be hugely important. You’ll have the opportunity to win and engrave your village name on the cup forever by competing to find the Ocky block, winning the Golden Toilet bowl or earning the most Merit Moolah.
You’ll come to find that camp is a great place to meet new people and just be yourself.
I look forward to meeting you at camp this summer!
Stay Blue and Uphold Ocky!
