Night Sky Network

Come out and spend an evening at the Tatem Observatory with Bernie Hosko, our night sky guru as he and his dedicated team of night sky hawks have you observe the furthest object that the unaided human eye is capable of seeing, the Andromeda Galaxy and M31, the sister galaxies to our very own Milky Way !
Our 565 acres of forest provides a unique, light-free oasis that is perfect for viewing some of the spectacular night sky events. As a member of the Night Sky Network, we’ll be offering a unique "Explore the Universe" program twice a month. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity!

Learn to Climb Program

This class is a wonderful introduction to the adventure of climbing. Our 50-foot tall climbing tower has four (4)different climbing sides with varying skill levels. As we progress through the class learning safety and climbing techniques, your child will increase self-confidence, stay active, have fun and reach new heights! This class will also have the opportunity to learn horizontal climbing on our traverse wall and participate on our Giant Swing!

Dinner and a Date Night

Looking for a great place to have your kids taken care of while you have a night out? Then drop off your kids at YMCA Camp and enjoy an evening out! Your child will have an exciting, safe and enjoyable night at camp that will include: dinner, hayride, campfire, s’mores, arts & crafts, and a movie. Take the stress out of finding a babysitter and let our trained staff take care of your child at an affordable price! Space is limited and all participants must register by 12 Noon on the Friday before the program.

Camp Open Houses

It’s getting to be that time of year again that people are starting to gear up for summer camp! Here at camp, we are trying to recruit new campers in a variety of ways. Our Open Houses have been one of the best ways for prospective campers and their parents to get a feel for Camp and see what we are all about. Many of our summer camp counselors volunteer to come in for these days to give tours and talk to families about the summer camp experience. Please spread the word! If you know anyone who might be interested in sending their children to camp, please pass on the following dates to them. We hold our Open Houses on Sunday afternoons from 1-4 p.m. on the following dates:

• April 25
• May 23
