Hey folks…

This Friday evening myself and Chef Nick hosted the first ever “Learn to Cook” class here at the Ockanickon Dining Hall.

With “Italian” as the theme of our first class, we taught our aspiring Chefs how to make a fresh tomato sauce and how to prepare meatballs from scratch!

We spent some time touring our large “instutional” style kitchen, learning about equipment, smelling spices and herbs and, most importantly, learning about food safety and sanitation.

At the end of the class Chef Nick, myself and our students sat down and enjoyed the fruits of our labors… digging in to a delicious Rigatoni and Meatball dinner!
