Hello dear readers…

As stated in the title of this post, I’ll pose this question… Can you guess how many meals per day my wonderful Kitchen Staff and I serve?

Did I hear someone say 100? Did I hear someone else shout 472 meals per day??

Of course I didn’t hear anyone shout anything… this is a blog.

If you thought to yourself… “I bet Chef Jason and his Kitchen Staff serve approximately 1,400 meals per day!”… well my friend… you would be correct!!

Here at Camp we have two dining facilities… One located on the Matollionequay side that feeds the girls and one down at the Ockanickon side that feeds the boys and our awesome Lake Stockwell Day Camp.

I must say… It gets hot in the kitchens but my crew work very hard to make sure each and every one of the 1,400 meals each day are made with care and served with pride and a little side dish of Love.

If you ever have a question, comment or concern about the food here at Camp you can email me at jason@ycamp.org and I’ll be happy to help.

Would you like another cool fact about the food here at Camp? It takes about 40 dozen eggs to feed a hungry group of boys in the Ocky Dining hall… and guess what else?!?! We crack each and every fresh egg by hand. No powdered eggs from a box or liquid eggs from a bag get served in Chef Jason’s kitchen!!

Thanks for reading!!!

Be good…

Chef Jason

P.S… Pictured below… Meatballs in sauce served and ready for pick-up by the Ocky “Cruisers” at dinnertime on Monday. The Meatballs & Sauce will accompany Rigatoni, Steamed Broccoli, Garlic Bread, our gorgeous Salad Bar and Cookies for dessert! One of our Campers favorite dinners!!
