Assistant Outdoor Center Director
We are looking for a highly motivated team member to join us in delivering life-changing, mission-driven camp experiences to youth and families at YMCA Camp Ockanickon, Inc. The Outdoor Center has an amazing program that provides day and overnight camping to schools and other organizations with a focus on building healthier communities and stronger relationships.
We need your help in serving 20,000 youth and families each year in summer camp, school camping programs, teen adventure trips, and community and family retreat programs.

Under the direction of CEO, the Office Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and improving day to day operations and systems pertaining to all administrative functions with a focus on improving our customers’ experiences via their interactions with us on the phone, in person, and electronically. In conjunction with managing the front office, this position will also be responsible for assisting the CEO, including managing his/her calendar, emails, and contacts; communicating with board members; communicating with donors; assisting with fundraising preparation work; and other tasks as needed. This position will also be called upon to support other departments from time to time particularly development and marketing.

Overnight Camp Employees
YMCA Camp Ockanickon, Inc. is looking for energetic, hardworking individuals to join our Overnight Camp team. Our Camps, Ockanickon for Boys and Matollionequay for Girls, are hiring for multiple summer positions:
General Counselors, Village Chiefs (Group Leaders), Program Counselors (specializing in areas of expertise: archery, boating, arts and crafts, ceramics, land sports, etc), Outdoor Trip Leaders, and CIT/LIT Directors. Candidates are required to live on site for duration of the summer, and should exemplify the values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.

Lake Stockwell Day Camp
YMCA Camp Ockanickon Inc. is looking for exceptional team members to join our Lake Stockwell Day Camp. We operate 10 weeks of day camp for campers ages 3 to 15. Campers participate in a rotated daily schedule that includes traditional summer camp programs: swimming, boating, archery, arts & crafts, sports, cooking, earth education and so much more! Staff members work 8:15 am to 4:45 pm Monday through Friday. We require staff to attend up to two weeks of staff training to learn about day camp’s policies and procedures, culture, team building with fellow co-works and more. Below are the positions still available, along with a brief overview.
Lifeguard: This position is responsible for the supervision of swimmers (both campers and staff) at the waterfront areas. We provide the training right here on camp property; prior experience is preferred, but not mandatory. This position requires a candidate to be at least 16 years of age.
Camp Counselor: This position is responsible for the supervision of campers in an assigned age group. The primary responsibility is overall supervision and well-being of the campers, as well as making sure their experience is as fun and rewarding as possible. This position requires a candidate to be at least 18 years of age.
Arts & Crafts Activity Director: This position is responsible for the planning and implementation of the arts & crafts program. The ideal candidate will be creative, and have a passion for arts and crafts. He/She will be responsible for leading and instructing the campers in different projects throughout the summer. This position requires a candidate to be at least 18 years of age.
Health Care Provider (RN): This position is responsible for the medical needs of the campers and staff. A current Registered Nurse license is required. The candidate will also be responsible for the organizing, maintaining and utilizing adequate resources in serving the health and medical needs of the campers and staff. This position requires a candidate to be at least 21 years of age.

YMCA Camp Ockanickon, Inc. is looking for exceptional team members to join our Outdoor Center. YMCA Camp Ockanickon, Inc. hosts over 20,000 visitors each year who enjoy our beautiful 800 acres, friendly staff, and innovative programming through our Outdoor Center programs. The three primary program areas are Retreats, Schools, and Family. Team members are trained to work interchangeably within all three programs and have an opportunity to work with a variety of populations in a unique outdoor environment.
Housing is available during terms of employment and meals are provided while programs are on site. On site and off site training is provided for environmental education, conference, and team-building activities.

School Aged Child Care Employees
YMCA Camp Ockanickon, Inc. is looking for employees to work in our before and after school program. Our staff provides programming, homework help, arts & crafts, projects and so much more in 9 schools in the Medford area. Site Supervisors, Assistant Site Supervisors and Counselors are offered flexible hours from 6:45 am – 9:00 am and then from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm and must be dependable, responsible and display consistent commitment to children’s well-being!
