This year the year-round staff was treated to an amazing trip to New York City. An amazing lunch followed by some pictures of the Rockefeller Tree and a walking tour of Rockefeller Plaza. All finished with some amazing views of the City.
A couple of weeks ago I was in NYC for a SCOPE meeting and happened to have some extra time afterwards. Since I grew up just outside of NYC, I decided it was time to visit the 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero. Part of my decision to visit was to see the memorial and the other part was to take a picture of somebody who we have permanently memorialized at Camp. This morning we held our annual Breakfast with Santa and well...we got to see Santa! A huge thanks to all the families who came out to enjoy a delicious breakfast and of course a huge thanks to Santa!
For most of my life, I was in the family that could not have a real tree in the house...not sure why, but that's just the way it was. So, when I moved out of my folks house and into my own place, one of the many things I looked forward to each year was getting a big old tree and decorating it. Hello dear readers… Last weekend we hosted our third wedding this Fall season and the lucky bride and groom couldn’t have asked for a better day on Saturday. What is the best care package I ever saw someone recieve? My parents weren't big on care packages, and I wasn't really one to ask for them so I'm out of the running. However, after years and years at camp, we've seen some pretty interesting things come through gates from the postal service. Which one really was the best?
